Yep, highjacked my own thread First, I'm looking to change out the folding stock for something more comfortable. I tried a paracord wrap, but I want something more. I have both on hand May try an Ace folding mechanism as well with it.
Has anyone used a stormwerkz adaptor on a recent manufactured VZ? Their website says it won't fit Also, let's see some pics of your VZ's and what you've done with them.
I know there's not a ton of aftermarket support, but I'd like to see whats been done with these great little rifles. Not sure why it would not fit. The stock mounting on the VZ is the same as an original VZ I have a VZ58 parts kit and the Czech "beaver barf" stock bolted right on with the Czech mounting plate and bolt.
BTW, made a huge difference in firing. I too was thinking after market but the Czech stock shoulders and points so natural I quit considering it. I think I saw CNC Warrior had a folding stock that looked somewhat like an ace, thought itblooked way more comfortable that the stock folder.
I like how this guy in the bottom of the linked thread modded his beaver turd stock into a folder. Weird question here, I read somewhere that they use the Beaver barf for heat reasons on the handguard. Would the heat generated wreck wood handguard over time? Im pretty shure they wanted to find a use for all the saw dust.
No not at all. Edit Actually it reduces heat for the gun but not for your hands when touching it. Go ahead and shoot rounds and try and hold one with out gloves. Last edited by jda70; at I've tried the mako stock and it was disappointing for the price point.
Trimmed the trigger guard cause I don't like the way the VZ's are made. Also welded some steel to the mag release and made it longer and wider. The BHO has also been as you can see in the pics. Welded tab on the bolt carrier also. Why did you weld that piece to the bolt hold open? It's nice and out of the way.
High speed low drag bolt release idea? How do you like the Mako stuff? Can you post pic of the BCG weld? Did you have the gremlin issues or just welded to make sure you don't? Second VZ with full stock. Last edited by rbgonoles; at Originally Posted by downsouthak. Originally Posted by Gunr I did it to make the fellas on AR My VZ's are flat as flat can be.
