One person found this helpful. By Katie on February 21, I would definitely recommend this app. I bought a discount gift card from Gap and saved money instantly.
It's the bomb dot com. By Amy Harper on September 23, So I then decreased the amount in my cart to be below that amount, submitted, and I got an error again. I called them on the phone and they said they would submit my issue to tech support but suggested I try again.
Tried again, and got an error. Needless to say, each of these times that a purchase was not made, my card was run… and a very large amount was therefore pending on my account for days with nothing to show for it. This is not okay!!! Oh ya, and tech support got back to me 1 month later! There are plenty of reputable sites for purchasing gift cards, and the concept is a great way to save money… but any company that handles their business like this should be avoided at all costs!
But running cards for purchases not made and responding to a technical issue 1 month after it took place and was submitted are unacceptable. Top rated Most recent Top rated. By Jamie S on October 21, By Amazon Customer on December 9, Was very pleased with this company at first.
Had no problem setting up account and selling gift cards to the company, even got paid in a timely manner. I was ok with putting in my information because I knew that all of the gift cards I sold were legit because I was the one who purchased them. They blocked me out of my account so that I could not even log in to take off my debit card information or see why I was charged. I had to call customer service to see why I was even charged.
Which sounds like someone is running this business out of their home or something shady. He was very unhelpful and told me he could do nothing to help me so I was never able to log back into my account. I had to call my bank, cancel my debit card and press fraudulent charges. Stay far away from this company and just use a coinstar gift card kiosk! Dungan on October 10, Do not buy from this company. When you try to use the gift card it won't have a balance.
By Lost It All on December 22, Tried to sell two new cards issued by bank as rewards. SaveYa accepted and prepared to mail in cards. So now SaveYa has wiped value off cards and has my credit card.
This is a total scam even thought it was featured on ABC news network. By Eugene Chamson on January 14, Went through the process of setting up an account. Their site took the information and issued a purchase order for me to send in with the 3 physical cards, which I did. A week later I get an email that the cards were rejected because they couldn't access the PIN code.
Well, that's because they were new unused cards and the code had not been scratched off yet. So I called support and suggested that they take out a quarter and scratch off the area to reveal the PIN.
They told me they were unable to do that because it didn't fit "their process". They are supposedly sending me the cards back, so I can scratch off the PIN and then return the cards to them again. This is not the kind of company I would ever want to work with again! By Oldfinger on December 26, I've cancelled the order, instructed them to return the money and told them that I'm in a position to unleash a barrage of negative publicity if they try it again.
By Gjf on January 2, SaveYa is a total scam. I bought a Whole Food gift card and went to use it and it was "restricted and rejected" by Whole Foods. When I called and emailed Save Ya. They said they would investigate and get back to me in 48 hours. It is not over a week later and no call or email. All emails I have written since are going unanswered. I had to get my credit card company involved. By non soli cedit on October 3, Worst gift card buying experience ever with this site.
It has cancelled every one of my gift card purchases, even though I was the first-mover on each occasion on the particular gift card. The first one, it was because it required me to verify my email address, via email. Well that email verification link took a good 12 minutes to arrive, causing me to lose out on the gift card right from my shopping cart to another buyer.
The second and third time, my credit card issuer put my account in suspension due to a data breach report they received from a third-party. I figured this out myself, after one of Saveya's few account managers apparently there are only three of them manually cancelled my purchases after 24 hours, without any notice or explanation. This last time, after I have received my replacement credit card with a new number, Saveya cancelled the order automatically right after I made my purchase, again with no explanation.
What makes it even worse? All three of those cancelled transactions are still "pending" against my credit line, totaling hundreds of dollars, after well over a week. How utterly frustrating and customer-unfriendly. Second, I too have read that buyers who were able to successfully purchase gift cards end up finding their cards' balances drained 24 hours later. To add insult to injury, those buyers reported that their credit card issuers sided with Saveya, in refusing to refund the losses.More...
